Josh loves all things avocado. Whether it be sliced into a salad, on a breakfast sandwich or in a burrito, the versatility of the fruit is unmatched. Josh has continued to to incorporate avocado into his university diet despite mostly surviving on frozen pizza otherwise, and will continue doing so as a poor masters student in the years to come. Note: If you work at a Chipotle, don't bother asking if he would like guacamole for $0.75, because nothing is more sure.

Genevieve easily eats 3-4 avocados per week, and believes it can make almost any dish only that much better. While she consumes the fruit often, she was not fully aware its historical background and incredible nutritional value prior to her research and contribution to this blog. Her favourite way to eat avocado is either with poached eggs on toast, or guacamole alongside tortilla chips and salsa (especially during taco nights with friends!).

Duncan knew that eating avocados was fun, but who knew that learning about them would be just as much of an adventure! Before he knew the story behind avocados, they were simply a fun addition to his Mexican treats. Now that he's aware of the complexities and hardships that were involved in bringing avocados to North America, his burritos burst with guacamole AND history. Duncan now understands the rich past of avocados and can't wait to explore their future in the kitchen!

Aysha is a guacamole fanatic and therefore could not be more grateful to avocados. Through this project she learned what the Aztec's called her favourite chip dip - ahuacamulli. Aysha also now knows more about the cultural significance of this special fruit and the Aztec myth that it brings strength to those that consume it. She hopes that by increasing her avocado intake she will be able to get her summer body ready.
